It has been a pleasure to be the theme setter for the Waipuna Hospice Calendar 2009 and 2011 (yet to be released).
It was important the settings were to be within the Hospice grounds, other than January which was set at the rose breeders glasshouse. Once I had decided on the settings the endless number of volunteers began to collect the requested props. The Waipuna Hospice fundraising rose 'Scent to Remember' featured throughout the calendar. A wonderfully fragrant picking rose which takes alot of handling. All scenes were set and shot within 3 days, with all models being Hospice gardeners, or the Rose breeder himself....along with a very enthusiastic staff member in the background!
The calendar has certainly provided us with many laughs, it was a joy to be part of and a wonderful opportunity to learn about such a special service to our community.
